Respect & tone
- Be civil. Disagree without degrading. No name-calling, slurs, or intimidation.
- Assume good faith where possible. Ask clarifying questions before accusing.
- Support-first. People come here in pain—keep the temperature down.
Safety & harassment
- No harassment (threats, stalking, repeated unwanted contact, “pile-ons,” or humiliating someone).
- No hate speech or attacks based on protected traits (race, religion, nationality, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, etc.).
- No encouragement of violence or self-harm. If someone is at risk, urge them to seek immediate help.
Privacy & doxxing
- No doxxing: don’t post anyone’s private info (address, phone, workplace, legal docs with identifiers, etc.).
- Minimize case identifiers: in legal discussions, remove names, case numbers, and exact addresses when possible.
- Respect consent: don’t repost private messages or recordings without permission.
Content standards
- No spam (scams, affiliate dumps, repetitive promo, or off-topic flooding).
- No explicit sexual content and no pornography.
- No gore or graphic violence.
- Keep it constructive: share lessons, resources, calm strategies, and practical next steps.
Legal boundaries (important)
- No impersonation of attorneys, police, courts, or other officials.
- No instructions for wrongdoing (fraud, hacking, witness intimidation, evidence tampering, etc.).
- Educational only: MTM resources are general information, not legal advice. For advice, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction.
