Hearing Day Checklist

Bring

3 copies of your packet (court, other party, you) with tabs A–F.
One‑page timeline, witness list, proof of service.
Photo ID, notepad, 2 pens, highlighter, sticky tabs.

Wear & Prep

Closed‑toe shoes; simple, clean clothes.
Eat, hydrate, take prescribed meds as usual.
Arrive 30–45 minutes early; phone on silent.

At Court

Check in with clerk/bailiff; confirm your case is listed.
Keep papers flat; tabs on the right; index on top.
Address the judge as “Your Honor;” lead with your ask.

After

Get a written order or confirm when it will post.
Calendar deadlines and the next date.
Update your binder the same day.
