Hearing Day Checklist

Bring
- 3 copies of your packet (court, other party, you) with tabs A–F.
- One‑page timeline, witness list, proof of service.
- Photo ID, notepad, 2 pens, highlighter, sticky tabs.
Wear & Prep
- Closed‑toe shoes; simple, clean clothes.
- Eat, hydrate, take prescribed meds as usual.
- Arrive 30–45 minutes early; phone on silent.
At Court
- Check in with clerk/bailiff; confirm your case is listed.
- Keep papers flat; tabs on the right; index on top.
- Address the judge as “Your Honor;” lead with your ask.
After
- Get a written order or confirm when it will post.
- Calendar deadlines and the next date.
- Update your binder the same day.
